Online Contemplative Worship

Since July 2025 a small number of folk have joined on Zoom each Wednesday evening to do a bit of learning, but mostly to be quiet before a scriptural text - "Lectio Divina" and then to share 20 minutes of "centring prayer" Centring prayer is a silent spiritual practice that can be found in the classic medieval text Cloud of Unknowing and which has been recovered and retaught in our own time particularly by a Benedictine monk, Fr Thomas Keating, who died in 2018, and by Cynthia Bourgeault who continues to teach and publish.
